Elephant Hous at the Zoo Berlin

Temme // Obermeier has been awarded the contract for the new ETFE foil cushion roof including the glue lam timber structure for the new Elephant House (Dickhäuterhaus) at the Tiergarten Berlin.

Directly after the successful opening oft he Meranti-Hall at the Zoo in Münster this is the next challenging zoo project for our team. With a size of approx. 3.500 sqm and a span of 40 m it is one of the larger ETFE projects in Europe. The lead bearing structure consists of single piece timber trusses with a length of 40 m which need to be transported and lifted in one piece. Stay tuned for more news.
