Jungle House in Munich
The renovation of the Jungle House in Munich is almost done!
We are making great strides on the renovation project of the ETFE roof. The first construction phase comprising of approximately 1,000 sqm has already been completed! A four-layer, translucent ETFE foil cushion roof with a controlled air management was successfully installed. Low-noise drills and tools were used here to ensure that nearby animals and wildlife were not disturbed unnecessarily during the construction phase.
This refurbishment project required the careful upgrading of the original support structure. The challenge of attaching the new ETFE foil cushions to the low profile depth not only a degree of skill during the design and installation phases. However, the efforts mean that we will be able to deliver a more efficient and sustainable roofing system!
We are looking forward to seeing the monkeys and orangutans enjoy their playground untder the new, daylight-flooded canopy!
