New roofing of the cable car Olang
Start into a new ski season at Kronplatz!
Temme // Obermeier has successfully completed the installation of the "Olang I + II" cable cars in the South Tyrolean Kronplatz ski area. It involved the construction of the roofs of three individual station buildings located at the valley, middle and mountain stations as well as the stunning facade of the gondola magazine. The project started in April 2020 with a view to being completed on time for the new ski season.
The leading Hamburg architecture firm studio schlotthauer matthiessen designed the wave-shaped roofs that captured the imagination of the client, Olanger Seilbahn AG. ETFE was the perfect material to deliver this ambitious design. The steelwork was expertly designed and manufactured by IN-Metall from Merano. We are already looking forward to the opening of the ski season!
